What Makes Microsoft Great Plains' Small Business Manager Different From Great Plains?
Small Business Manager is part of the Microsoft Business Solutions Group, which was formerly the Great Plains division of Microsoft.  Although Small Business Manager is shown to be in version 7.0, it is actually only the second version of the product in its current form.  The version numbers are consistent with the Great Plains product line. Essentially Microsoft Small Business Manager is a lighter and less expensive version of Great Plains.  Significant differences between the two products exist as outlined below:
